Nikita A. Milton, Ed.D
Founder and CEO, Lagniappe Creative Consulting
Dr. Nikita A. Milton, also known as MICKEY (or Dr. Mick), has over 25 years of professional experience with focuses in strategic planning, project management, event management, communication strategies, crisis management, organizational development, as well as admissions and enrollment management. These skills have provided opportunities for her to work with higher education institutions as well as small businesses and non-profit organizations.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications with a minor in Journalism, a master’s degree in Educational Psychology with a concentration in Higher Education Administration, and a doctoral degree in Higher Education Administration.
Born and raised in New Orleans, Nikita is an exceptional leader and professional. Her career began in higher education where she was instrumental in mentoring student leaders and paraprofessionals, implementing large-scale events and managing complex budgets. She later begin serving on various task force in support of strategic planning and crisis management. While her immediate passion is to lead, mentor, and educate in an educational setting, her passion expanded to local businesses and non-profit organizations. She has been able to contribute her talents to supporting local businesses and non-profit organizations with leveraging operations and communication automations to reach their goals as well as building strategic plans to start up entities.
Today, Nikita is the Founder and CEO of Lagniappe Creative Consulting, and the Owner of Giftology New Orleans, a curated gift box company focused on individual and corporate gifting. She also serves as the Director of Graduate Admissions and an Adjunct Professor at Loyola University New Orleans teaching in the Master of Science in Marketing & Communications program. In addition, she is also involved in the community serving in leadership roles with a local Mardi Gras krewe and other city wide initiatives.
When Nikita is not immersed in her professional and business ventures, she is spending time with her three children, family and friends, and indulging in reading, crafting, and New Orleans culture.
