Dr. Nikita A. Milton, also known as MICKEY (or Dr. Mick), has over 25 years of professional experience with focuses in strategic planning, event management, communication strategies, crisis management, project management, organizational development,
as well as enrollment management. These skills provided opportunities for her to work with higher education institutions as
well as small businesses and non-profit organizations.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications with a minor in Journalism, a master’s degree in Educational Psychology with a concentration in Higher Education Administration, and a doctoral degree in Higher Education Administration.

Nikita is an exceptional leader and professional, born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana. She started her career coordinating large-scale events, managing complex budgets, and mentoring student leaders and paraprofessionals. She advanced over the years to support marketing and communication operations, crisis and risk management, and strategic planning initiatives. She later began supporting small businesses and non-profits leveraging her skills and expertise to assist entities with reaching their business and organizational goals.

In addition to Lagniappe Creative Consulting, Nikita is the Owner of Giftology New Orleans, a curated gift box company focused on individual and corporate gifting. She is involved in the local community serving in leadership roles with a Mardi Gras krewe and other city wide initiatives. Nikita also serves as the Director of Graduate Admissions and an Adjunct Professor in the School of Music & Media at Loyola University New Orleans.

When Nikita is not immersed in her professional and business ventures, she is spending time with her three children, family and friends, and indulging in reading, crafting, and New Orleans culture.
